Our Founder & Our Story

As a native New Yorker who remained in the city from the early days of the pandemic when many people had fled, life as we knew it abruptly changed. It started as a universal pause button that nobody ever imagined could happen and then a paradigm shift in our dally routine and livelihood. The concept of an essential worker had a new appreciation as well. During this unprecedented time when schools and daycare centers were closed, families I knew in my building were struggling to find everyday balance between work-life and virtual learning with their children--which had become the new normal. They were looking for assistance to help with their kids and schoolwork, and one family was even willing to pay for a live-in nanny simply because of their fear of the nanny potentially catching COVID-19. As a labor of love and wanting to help as I once myself was a nanny, through word of mouth, past experience, diligence and intuitiveness, I played nanny matchmaker. It started with only a couple of families I personally knew which had positive feedback and then it extended to a few more in my NYC neighborhood. This gave me the incentive to create Cutie Pie Concierge and here we are!
